Determining if we will be a good fit is essential to your success in therapy. A consultation allows us to discuss any questions you may have and to schedule an initial appointment if we decide to work together. I offer a free phone consultation that may last up to 30 minutes, depending on your needs and inquiries. If you would prefer to determine if we are a good fit in person, I offer a 30 minute in-office consultation for $50.
- 20 minute phone consultation: free
- 30 minute in-office consultation: $50
- 50-60 minute individual session: $120
- 50-60 minute couples session: $120
Payment for our sessions is expected at time of service. If you wish to use your insurance to pay for your sessions, I'm happy to offer you an invoice outlining the dates of our appointments to submit to your insurance company so they may reimburse you. Please check with your insurance customer service to obtain details about reimbursement. I do not take insurance for a number of reasons, including the necessity to label each client with a diagnosis. Diagnoses can be helpful in more clinical settings where specific, structured treatments are utilized; however, these labels stay on clients' records indefinitely. Those who do not wish to have their diagnoses remain on their permanent record should not utilize insurance for mental health care. Furthermore, it is part of my therapeutic process to view each client individually as a person, rather than a label or diagnosis. This perspective allows for a deeper therapeutic relationship, as well as the flexibility to utilize many aspects of various treatment modalities.
I accept cash, check, and all major credit cards as payment.
If you need to cancel a scheduled appointment for any reason, I ask that you notify me at least 24 hours in advance to allow me to reschedule another client during this time. Otherwise you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. The full fee is also required if you do not show up for a scheduled appointment.
